The Silver Lining In Failure

Updated: Jun 30, 2021

Failure is a common issue that we face everyday, and yet many people choose to give up as they fail. Giving up is just letting all of your progress of work be thrown in the trash bin. Giving up shows that you are not being able to face failure, fears, embarrassment, and other negative situations or comments that people say to you. Here is why failing is a good thing for us and that you should not give up just because you fail.

Failure is a wonderful yet important thing in our lives as it allows us to go through a lot of character developments that will be good for ourselves. Being able to face failure shows that you have the courage to accept it. By accepting your failure, you will try to learn from the mistakes that cause the failure and be better the next time you try again. The more times you fail, the more you will learn from it. Furthermore, you will become more confident with what you are struggling with in the first place as you learn from your failure. In fact, research out of Stanford University has shown that those who are at the top of their field are the ones who have failed the most. Having to persevere to learn a new skill gives you the advantage over someone who gets it right the first time.

A famous basketball player once said, “If you quit once, it becomes a habit. Never quit!”. This shows the determination for him to improve and to be more motivated to be the best basketball player that he could be. So, don’t be afraid to fail, because in the future, who knows you will be one of the most successful people in the world.
