For most of us, summer break is here. We can finally sleep in, eat a late breakfast, and watch TV for hours on end. At the time, all these things feel harmless, since we have nothing better to do anyway. But when it hits noon, we finally realise that *gasp* we haven’t done anything productive. Productive doesn’t have to be related to work or school, it can be just things that we would like to accomplish during the holiday, such as exercising, painting, or reading. So, here are a few tips on how we can salvage the rest of our hours and do something good with it.

1. Refresh yourself
Personally, I absolutely cannot get anything done if I haven’t taken a shower, brushed my teeth, or even just not having washed my face. It seems like a really small thing, but getting yourself cleaned up helps you dive into the day with a better and more positive attitude.
2. List down everything you want to do throughout the summer
If you have lots of activities you want to do but don’t know where to start, write it all down in a list. Even if it’s 25 items long, just write it down! You could do any of these things spanning the entire summer, if you’d like.
3. Pick out 3-5 things that you’d like to do today
Depending on how much time you have left in your day, choose 3 to 5 things that you would like to do today. This way, you don’t feel pressured to accomplish too many things at once. If you still have time after doing the activities you selected, feel free to do something else on your list.
4. Do easier/more relaxing activities in breaks
Don’t forget to take breaks! It’s important to take proper rests in between activities so that you don’t tire yourself out. If there’s anything relaxing you have on your list (like watching a movie or catching up on a series), you can do those in your breaks, too!
